Getting Started

Download University Bubble from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Open the app and tap "Sign Up." Enter your @auburn.edu email address and create a password. We'll send a verification email — click the link to confirm your account. Once verified, you'll be prompted to set a display name and optional profile photo.
University Bubble is exclusively for Auburn University students and requires an @auburn.edu email address to register. This ensures the community remains a trusted, verified space for Auburn University students only. If you're an Auburn student but don't yet have your .edu email, contact the Auburn IT Help Desk to set up your account.
Check your spam or junk mail folder — verification emails sometimes end up there. If you still can't find it, try logging into the app and tapping "Resend Verification Email." Make sure you entered your @auburn.edu address correctly. If you continue to have trouble, contact us at support@universitybubble.com.

Account & Login

On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password." Enter your @auburn.edu email address and tap "Send Reset Link." Check your email for a password reset link (check spam if you don't see it within a few minutes). Click the link and follow the instructions to create a new password. The reset link expires after 1 hour for security.
Go to the Dashboard tab and tap your profile photo in the top right corner. From your profile page, tap "Edit Profile." You can update your display name and upload a new profile photo from your camera roll or take a new photo. Tap "Save" to apply your changes.
Yes! You can log in to University Bubble on multiple devices using the same @auburn.edu email and password. Your messages, groups, and calendar events sync across all your devices in real time via our cloud backend.

Features & Usage

Open the Bubbles tab. To join an existing bubble, browse or search the list and tap "Join." To create a new bubble, tap the "+" button in the top right corner. You can choose between Academic (course-based) or Interest groups, set it as Public or Private, and add a name and description. Private bubbles require an invite to join.
University Bubble sends push notifications for new direct messages and new messages in your joined Bubbles. You'll be asked to grant notification permission when you first launch the app. You can adjust or disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings app (Settings → University Bubble → Notifications on iOS, or Settings → Apps → University Bubble on Android).
Go to the Dashboard tab. Tap any date on the calendar to select it, then tap the "+" button to add a new event. You can enter a title, select the event type (Exam, Homework, Project, Quiz, or Other), and set a due date and time. Events are color-coded by type and only visible to you — they're stored privately in your account.
To report a message, long-press the message and select "Report." To report a user, visit their profile and tap the three-dot menu in the top right, then select "Report User." All reports are reviewed by our team. For urgent safety concerns, please email us directly at support@universitybubble.com with details.

Privacy & Data

Yes. Direct messages are visible only to you and the recipient. Our database uses Row Level Security (RLS) policies to enforce this at the database level — no other user can access your DMs. We do not read your private messages. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
No. We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party. University Bubble does not use advertising networks or sell user information. Read our full Privacy Policy for complete details on how we handle your data.

How to Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your University Bubble account at any time. This will remove all your personal data, messages, and calendar events from our servers within 30 days.

To delete your account from within the app:

  1. Open the Dashboard tab.
  2. Tap your profile photo in the top right corner.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap "Settings."
  4. Tap "Delete Account."
  5. Confirm your decision when prompted.

Alternatively, you can request account deletion by emailing support@universitybubble.com with the subject line "Delete My Account." We'll process your request within 5 business days.
